“From the dog’s point of view, his master is an elongated and abnormally cunning dog” – Mabel Louise Robinson
In order to put this in place, we have to excavate a great deal of coal ash to make way for this high-tech soil, and the process of removing the old soil and replacing it with this system is expected to be at least half of the cost of the park. But we all want it to be a clean and safe place for Fido to play, right?
In addition, we’re adding fencing, trees, a dog and people drinking fountain, lighting, seating and a shade structure so that our dogs two-legged friends have a shady place to chill while the dogs run and play. Oh, and really two places – one for smaller and elderly dogs, and one for the larger more raucous ones. All of this is adding up to cost about $500,000 when all is said and done, net of generous donations of time and materials from many of our sponsors.
